These simple, quick, and delicious jalape\u00f1o poppers are perfect to serve at any party or honestly any meal too. The peppers are a perfect vessel to carry that creamy cheesy filling with that crispy golden brown topping. Make sure to prepare a bunch extra for that party though, because they’ll be all finished in the blink of an eye.<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our backyard garden has been having its most bountiful summer harvest to date, with our pepper plants being the most prosperous of them all. Because of this, our refrigerator has been overflowing with jalape\u00f1os lately so I decided to put them to use. If spice isn’t for you, the jalape\u00f1os can totally be replaced with bell or lunchbox peppers, but I think spice is crucial to making this dish as perfect as possible. Also, for the sake of healthiness, I try to use all low-fat versions of the cheeses listed below, however, the dish works perfectly both ways!<\/div>\n

Ingredients<\/h3>\n

  • 15 Jalape\u00f1os (halved, remove seeds and membrane)<\/li>\n
  • 6 oz Cream Cheese (softened)<\/li>\n
  • 3 Tbsp Garlic Herb Cheese Spread<\/li>\n
  • Salt (to taste)<\/li>\n
  • Pepper (to taste)<\/li>\n
  • Paprika (to Taste)<\/li>\n
  • Garlic Powder (to taste)<\/li>\n
  • Italian Seasoning (to taste)<\/li>\n
  • 1\/4 Cup Chives (minced)<\/li>\n
  • 1\/2 Cup Pepper Jack Cheese<\/li>\n
  • 1\/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese<\/li>\n
  • 1\/4 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs<\/li>\n
  • 1\/4 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs<\/li>\n
  • 2 Tbsp Butter (melted)<\/li>\n
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic (minced)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Directions<\/h3>\n

    1<\/span>First, preheat your oven to 350\u00b0F. Add the cheeses, chives, and seasonings all to a bowl. Mix till everything is incorporated and then set aside.<\/p>\n

    2<\/span>Next, take your breadcrumbs and to that add the garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, and butter. You can also sprinkle in a bit more parmesan cheese at this step.<\/p>\n

    3<\/span>Now, add the filling to the pepper halves, topping each with the breadcrumb mixture after. Then, add them to a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
